The Danse Orientale is now in its second century in the United States. Ever since Little Egypt introduced this dance to the U.S. at the Chicago World's Fair of 1893, thousands of Americans have enjoyed the splendor of the dance and music of the Middle East. The Golden Years of Middle Eastern dance in this country were the decades of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. The vibrant Greek nightclub scene of the 1960s exemplified the spirit and energy of this special time. More coming soon!
